At Dr Tiffany Leung Psychological Services, I am committed to providing a practice that is inclusive, accessible, and respectful of difference.
This means working to ensure that individuals, regardless of background, culture, ethnicity, language, gender identity, sexuality, religion, disability, neurotype, or lived experience, are able to access psychological support safely, respectfully, and with dignity.
This commitment is guided by:
-
the Equality Act 2010
-
the HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics (Standards 1, 5 & 6)
-
the British Psychological Society (BPS) Code of Ethics and Conduct
-
Ongoing professional standards associated with EuroPsy professional recognition and continuing professional development
1. Accessibility
Psychological therapy and consultation sessions are offered online to support accessibility across different locations, time zones, mobility needs, and personal circumstances.
Where appropriate and reasonably possible, adjustments may include:
-
Flexible scheduling arrangements
-
Adapted communication approaches
-
Consideration of sensory, neurodivergent, or accessibility related needs
-
Additional support around language and understanding
The aim is to create a therapeutic environment that supports participation, psychological safety, and equitable access to care.
2. Inclusion and Cultural Sensitivity
My practice welcomes individuals from a wide range of cultural, ethnic, relational, and identity backgrounds.
I work with awareness of cultural difference, intersectionality, migration experiences, systemic pressures, and the impact these may have on emotional wellbeing, identity, relationships, and psychological safety.
Therapy is approached with sensitivity to lived experience and difference, with the intention of creating a space where individuals feel respected rather than expected to conform.
3. Language Flexibility
Sessions can be conducted in:
-
English
-
Cantonese
-
Mandarin
This reflects an understanding that emotional experience, identity, and psychological expression are often closely connected to language and cultural context.
4. Continuous Learning
I engage in ongoing supervision, reflective practice, and continuing professional development (CPD) in areas including:
-
Cultural competence and intercultural practice
-
Trauma informed psychological care
-
Accessibility and inclusion
-
Neurodivergence informed practice
-
Ethical and online therapeutic practice
This supports the continued development of safe, reflective, and ethically grounded psychological work.
5. Feedback and Accountability
Feedback regarding accessibility, inclusion, and client experience is welcomed as part of maintaining reflective and responsive practice.
If you experience barriers to accessing therapy or psychological support, you are welcome to contact:
Reasonable adjustments and supportive adaptations can be explored where appropriate.
